Pay tribute to the Class of 2010
Honor grads with a congratulatory message in the 2010 Grad Ball Tribute Journal. This keepsake will be presented to the Class of 2010 on graduation night. Parents, family, friends and businesses are invited to purchase space in the journal to acknowledge this special milestone event with personal messages of love, support and congratulations to the class and individual students. Tributes can include congratulatory messages, words of wisdom or a favorite quote along with color photos, college or sports logos, and more. Ideas and design assistance are available from the Grad Ball Journal Committee
The deadline to reserve a design-assisted ad is March 15; self-prepared ads are due April 16. For more information, see the Grad Ball Tribute Journal Ad Form, or contact Elissa Goldstein at 201-666-6610, ext. 201, or Lisa Hahn at 201-251-7778.

Planning ahead?
The calendar for the 2010-2011 school year is now available on the district Web site.
Speaking of planning ahead ...
Due to the summer construction schedule at the middle and high schools, fall classes in the Glen Rock School District will begin on September 14. Despite the delayed opening, Athletic Director Frank Violante has announced that fall sports will begin practice and game schedules as in previous years in keeping with the various league schedules.
Football will begin practice on August 16, and all other high school fall sports will begin August 21. Middle school teams will begin practice on September 7. Many of the teams will likely play games before the first day of classes.
Parents of athletes are asked to keep this in mind when planning summer activities and vacations.
Questions should be directed to the Athletic Office at 201-445-7700, ext. 8963.
Tutoring available
Tutoring now is available by appointment from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays in the Media Center.
Coordinators have been recruiting motivated high school students strong in specific subjects to tutor underclassmen and middle school students who may be struggling. There currently are almost 60 students available to tutor for volunteer hours. A younger student will be tutored by two older students under the supervision of a teacher.
For more information or to make an appointment, contact Julia Hotz at jhotz93@gmail.com or 201-251-8436.
